Ambition is announcing our fall 2015 feature roll-out. This is part 3 of 8 parts which outlines historical performance add-ons and forecasting.
Over the next 6 weeks, we'll be unveiling a series of new features that will impact every facet of Ambition and usher in a new breed of sales performance management platform.
For decades, initiatives involving employee productivity, ramp up and retention have belonged to HR. That's about to change. Between now and the arrival of Dreamforce 2015, Ambition will be introducing 8 new features that will transform us into the first truly modern Sales Performance Management Platform.
Modern Sales Performance Management Software
This past spring, our engineering, data science and design teams began several major initiatives to make Ambition the ultimate swiss army knife for sales operations.
By the time Dreamforce 2015 rolls around, we'll be packing 8 brand-new sets of features. Our rollout schedule is staggered so that anywhere from 1-3 new features will be unveiled each week. Stay tuned to the Ambition Blog for our weekly updates.
1. Historical Performance Add-Ons and Forecasting
2. API Integration and Onboarding
3. Activity and Objective Scores / New Score Editor
6. New Ambition TV and Trigger Builder
7. Record Book / Highlights / Streaks
8. Challenges
Feature #3. Activity & Objective Scores / New Score Editor
Ambition now divides its scoring into two categories: an Activity Score and an Objective Score. The Activity Score tracks each user's real-time performance across key productivity metrics of the organization's choosing. These are meant to be day-to-day, high volume activities such as calls, emails and meetings.
Here is an example of an Ambition user's Activity Score dashboard tracking metrics in real-time. As you can see, the user's real-time Activity Score is distinct from her real-time Objective Score. An Ambition user's real-time Objective Score reflects how well they're hitting major objectives, such as generating new leads, creating profit or closing deals.
The Ambition Score Editor is one of the most critical components of Ambition. It allows managers to set up performance scoring based on a variety of benchmarks, which can be weighted at different levels to give some performance metrics more impact than others on one's score.
Managers can also segment their Ambition users into different groups, so that users on different teams (inside sales versus marketing, for example) get scored only on their relevant metrics. The Ambition Score Editor is designed to be as intuitive as possible, making it easy for managers to set up initial scoring protocol, then adjust and tweak metrics, benchmarks and weights as needed.
