Ambition’s New Packaging Model: How We Designed It to Deliver More Value to Customers

How people buy software has changed pretty dramatically over the past several years. To meet these new buyer needs, preferences, and behaviors, it’s time for how we sell software to change, too. Here’s how we’re doing that at Ambition.
Ambition has grown from a set of products built around specific use cases into a broader platform for performance and coaching. Naturally, the way we package and price Ambition needs to evolve to fit the current state of our product. Our new packaging is designed around a simple idea: customers should buy Ambition to solve performance problems, not to navigate a collection of disconnected products and feature gates.
Where We’ve Been
Historically, we’ve viewed Ambition as serving two distinct purposes: gamification and coaching. That model worked well for a long time, but it also limited how customers experienced Ambition.
Some longtime customers still use the same set of gamification capabilities they purchased years ago: scorecards, competitions, TVs, and performance visualizations. Those tools remain valuable, and gamification remains an important part of Ambition. But customers originally chose them for a larger reason: they wanted to motivate their people, change behavior, and improve performance.
Today, Ambition can help them do far more toward that goal. Our new packaging reflects that.
Where We’re Going
We’re moving from use-case-specific products to three straightforward packages, with more integrated capabilities and minimal feature gates:
- Activate helps organizations drive individual and team performance. It includes scorecards, KPIs, goals, gamification, recognition, performance intelligence, the performance graph, and opportunity and pipeline data. It will list at $40 per user per month.
- Orchestrate adds the capabilities organizations need to manage and improve execution at scale, including forecasting, procedures, conversation intelligence scoring, opportunity methodology, scaled coaching programs, and automated AI workflows. It will list at $50 per user per month.
- Enterprise adds the governance, security, administration, and scale required by larger, more complex organizations. It’s priced based on the customer’s size and needs.
Our goal isn’t to sell every customer the largest possible package. It’s to sell the simplest package that solves a meaningful problem, get Ambition into your team’s hands, unlock value, and grow with you.
Why This Is Better for Customers
Customers will have access to more of Ambition’s core performance data and capabilities from the beginning. They won’t have to assemble a solution feature by feature or wonder which product contains the information they need.
We’re also baking AI into the Ambition experience instead of making customers manage another unpredictable system of tokens, credits, and variable monthly costs. Our goal is for customers to see Ambition as their trusted partner for improving performance and coaching—not as another AI bill they have to monitor.
Most importantly, this gives every customer a clearer path to value. You can start with the problem in front of you—whether that’s coaching, motivation, pipeline execution, or overall performance—and expand as your organization’s needs evolve.
Our new packaging gives us a better way to build healthy, lasting customer relationships. It gives customers more value, gives our teams the ability to solve more customer pain points, and makes Ambition a stronger partner in driving performance.
